Some people were shocked by yesterday's news of Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie ("Girl Interrupted") saying she will “absolutely” give up her acting career and focus on directing.  “I’ve never been comfortable as an actor; I’ve never loved being in front of the camera,” Jolie told Du Jour magazine. “I didn’t ever think I could direct, but I hope I’m able to have a career at it because I’m much happier.”

Maleficent owes most of its success to Jolie's scene chewing performance, so it would be a shame if it was one of her last acting roles. Let's watch some of that amazing acting talent in the 13-minute long video below of Cinema Sins nitpicking Maleficent to death.

“Maleficent” is the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.” A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom—and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.

Maleficent is being directed by Robert Stromberg, based on a screenplay by Paul Dini and Linda Woolverton. The cast includes: Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley, Juno Temple, Sam Riley, Miranda Richardson and Imelda Staunton.

I saw it but was hesitant to see it. I was surprised and thought it was really good. A plausible story and a nice twist ending. My only gripe, could have done without some of the animated characters.

The movie sucked. I was forced to go and was the only guy in the audience. Listening to ladies go:"awww, dawww". Jeez. I swear, they've just started a trend of making gritty origin stories nobody asked for their childhood movies.

It was a pedophile movie.

40 year old Angeline Jolie acting as a witch with her 16-year-old "true love."

They even get "married" at the end.

Aint a lesbo movie because she's only 16. If some older dude was playing Angelina's role, people would have went nuts.

Feminist man-hater movie. Sickening.

Who's the one running CBM with these hard-ons for CinemaSins' "Everything Wrong With..." videos? Seriously, why everytime they come out with another one of these stupid videos it gets posted on the main page of the site as if it's actual CBM news? Nobody even cares or watches their crap so what's with the inside job for CinemaSins?
