Ahead of tomorrow's new episode of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Prime Video has shared some promo stills to give viewers a better idea of what to expect.

It looks like "Partings" is going to jump around between all four major plotlines, as we catch up with Elrond and Durin's visit to King Gil-Galad, the Harfoot migration (watch out for Wargs), Galadriel training soldiers in Númenor (is that a smile?), and the Adar's siege of Bronwyn's people in the old watchtower.

The most intriguing image features Theo showing Arondir the mysterious Morgul(?) blade Adar is so intent on getting hold of, which suggests that the lad may have found a way to resist the weapon's evil influence and come clean about its dark power.

Check out the stills at the links below, and be sure to keep an eye out for our recap of the episode as soon as it hits Prime Video.

Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.

Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power stars Morfydd Clark, Benjamin Walker, Charles Edwards, Charlie Vickers, Markella Kavenagh, Nazanin Boniadi, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Tyroe Muhafidin, Maxim Baldry, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Owain Arthur, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Leon Wadham, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.

I'm enjoying this but much like She Hulk or House of the Dragon, if it ended tomorrow and never came back I wouldn't care.

@MarvelousMarty - House of Dragon is in a whole other galaxy compared to those two in all depts. The other two are disposable as [frick].

They spent so much money to create something so boring and pathetic. This is not Tolkien.

Here's my fresh opinion and general consensus- She-Hulk is alright. Could it be better? Certainly. Rings of Power is alright. Could it be better? Certainly. Oh I think the writing could be better for both. Blah blah blah get on with my day. The end

@HAUSMAN01 - I just watched his thoughts on Andor a couple days ago. He summed up my feelings pretty much; Andor and Disney stuff isn't SW and doesn't fit in the universe so it's time to move on and to continue enjoying the SW stuff we already have.

Every episode I watch I hope for something enthralling and exciting, but then am faced with boring dialogue and a plot that seems to have lost its legs and is forced to crawl. I really want to love the show but it's so dull!

I feel like less has happened in House of the Dragon, but its still a million times more captivating.

@RedFury - more has happened in one episode of House of Dragon than 4 episodes of Rings of Boredom.

Tolkein wrote some books and created a universe that billions of people around the world made it one of the best selling book series in history second only to religious texts. Jackson created a movie based off of it and millions of other people joined the fandom and loved the universe making the IP even more valuable. Amazon came along and hired showrunners and writers that believe they are better and more creative writers than Tolkein. Their Hubris and arrogance has killed all potential for this show to be successful.

If they just hired some experienced fantasy writers and gave them all this money to make a new fantasy universe inspired by Tolkein then this could have been one of the greatest shows ever to exist. As it is though it's got nothing to do with what Tolkein created and you can't even claim it was inspired by his work cause they are just stealing the names of characters and locations and ignoring the universe and story that made this the beloved and gigantic IP that it was.
