Jennifer Lawrence Would Rather Star In A GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Sequel Than Appear In Another X-Men Movie

It sounds like Jennifer Lawrence is ready to make the leap from the X-Men Universe to the Marvel Cinematic Universe based on this new interview, and you can find her comments in full after the jump...

Jennifer Lawrence has seemed ready to move on from the X-Men franchise for a while now, especially as the role of Mystique demands so much time in the make-up chair. No longer an up and coming actress, she doesn't need to play the character any more, and her contract wrapped up with the critically panned X-Men: Apocalypse. After that, why would she want to return in the next instalment?

Asked in the video below whether or not she'd like to join the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise alongside Passengers star Chris Pratt, Lawrence replied: "Oh, my God, I would love to! I actually don’t even know — I would choose that over doing another X-Men movie." Ouch, that's not something Fox will be happy to hear, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige may already be making some calls!

"I won’t be Mystique in the X-Men movies," she added, "but I would love to be Mystique in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ I wonder if I can do that?" She can't, but there's nothing stopping Lawrence taking on another role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Who do you guys think she could play?

Oh no, she doesn't want to do anymore X-Men movies. That's a damn shame.
