Hello Fellow CBM Users
On today's article i'm here to talk to you about Guardians of the Galaxy. Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Batista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, & Josh Brolin and is about a group of outlaws who team up to stop Ronan & Nebula from destroying the galaxy.
First I will give my overall thoughts on the movie then i will give detailed description of each character. I feel this way you'll know excatly how i felt about the movie, so lets get started. My overall thoughts are this, GOTG is a good movie but it isnt the best marvel movie like everyone is saying it is. GOTG had its flaws like any other movie but i feel this flaws could have been fixed and this could have been the best marvel studios movie. Now lets get into the characters
Chris Pratt as Star Lord, He was one of the best parts of this movie besides rocket and groot. Chris Pratt brought what RDJ brought with iron man. He's funny, a wise-ass. a bad-ass and is simply one hell of a cool character. When chriss pratt was first casted, i was alarmed because i didnt know if pratt had the acting ability to lead a film. Now im looking back at that and realizing how stupid i was. Chris Pratt was flat awesome in this movie and i am very excited to see where this character goes in the next installment.(ps: please let star lord and tony stark meet on screen, i would be so happy)
Zoe Saldana as Gamora. Zoe(fist name basis!!) was really good in this role, manypeople are saying she's black widow in space and thats pretty much true, but is that really a bad thing. She's sexy, smart, dangerous and like star lord a bad-ass. While I really liked gamora in the movie i did feel her relationship with nebula(her sister) should have been better established but overall this character was awesome and Zoe was very good in it.
Davia Batista as Drax the Destoryer. I was really scared for drax because Batista is lets face it not the best actor out there and i was afraid drax would just come off as one note, but i was wrong. Batista played the role very nicely and i was surpised how funny he was in the movie. Batista had nice chemistry with everyone on the team and i felt he didnt stick out like a sore thumb as i thought he would have
Vin Diesel as Groot. I am Groot
For those of you who don't speak groot language, that simply stands for Groot was the 2nd part about this movie. He was sweet, bad-ass(once again), strong and simply wonderful in the movie. i mean i could any one not like groot after that michael jackson dance he did after the movie!!!
Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccon. The main star of the movie. Rocket was the best part about this movie. he was all the good things about the other character times 10. Bradley cooper as rocket was also just amazing casting, after a while i forgot bradley cooper was voicing him, just amazing character and best part
Lee Pace as Ronan. Here comes my first flaw with the movie, the villian. Marvel studios really have a hard time creating memorable villians thats not loki and ronan does change that. I thought Lee Pace was fine in the role but the character was very one note. why was he trying to destroy xander in the first place. in the comics ronan had alot of depth and complexity but in this movie he was simply a one note villian. its really ashamed that one of marvel's best villians got this treatment, but luckily there was one villian(really 2) that i did find memorable.
Karen Gillan as Nebula. I found Nebula to be a really cool character and villian in this movie. her arc in the movie is really great as she has to reliaze that thanos is really a monster and i'm very intrested into seeing where this character is going.
Michael Rooker as Yondu. He was simply AWESOME
Josh Brolin as Thanos. The Big Gunn(get it). the big bad of the whole MCU grand proper entrace. The little we got of thanos was awesome, as soon as he started speaking i was similing like an idiot!!! Brolin's voice is perfect as thanos and him sitting in that chair after ronan leaves is one the most bad ass shots i've seen. i cannot wait to see him fight the avengers and i cannot wait to see him again in the next GOTG movie. i wish we had more of him, but what we did get was Great
Now there are other character in this movie i should mention like korath, the collector, nova prime and Dey. they were all great in the movie but none of them really stood out to me.
There is one character i have to mention before this review is over and thats the surprise appearance of Howard the Duck. this was an awesome cameo and i really did like it while i was upset that we didnt get any sneek previews of the avengers or ant man i am more than happy with that fun little gag. If i have to score the movie I give it an
8/10
