First Official GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Still Features Baby Groot And Will Melt Your Heart

Marvel Studios has released the first official image from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and it appropriately features the already fan-favourite pint-sized hero Baby Groot in his adorable Ravagers suit.

To promote their charitable Heroic Acts for Heroic Causes campaign, Marvel Studios has shared the first official image form Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. We've seen a silhouette of the team, the poster, and some concept art, but this is an actual still, and as you can see, it focuses solely on Baby Groot. To call the little sentient tree adorable would be an understatement, and he looks particularly cute here.

While it was initially thought that Groot was wearing his own version of Star-Lord's costume, the recently released trailer confirmed that he's actually posing as one of the Ravagers. We have no idea why he looks so worried here, but marvel and Disney really need to hurry the hell up and get Baby Groot on toy shelves sooner rather than later. Anyway, more images will hopefully be revealed soon.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Kurt Russell, the movie will be released on May 5th.
