GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL Poster Gives Drax And Mantis Appropriately Ugly Christmas Sweaters

A new promo poster for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special has found its way online, and it features Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) rocking some suitably ugly Christmas sweaters.

Last month, Marvel Studios shared the first trailer and poster for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. It was also announced that the Special Presentation will premiere on November 25, and with just over a week to go, we're beginning to wonder if one trailer is all we're getting!

We'll see, but a new promo poster has now been revealed once again putting the spotlight on Drax and Mantis. This time, however, they're rocking some wonderfully ugly Christmas sweaters that should help the two aliens fit right in on Earth over the holiday season (while attempting to kidnap Kevin Bacon, of course).

It appears most of this Special will revolve around those two, and with Dave Bautista making it sounds like this will be his final outing as Drax, we should probably enjoy him while we can! The actor has grown increasingly unhappy over the character's portrayal in recent years, and with James Gunn jumping ship to DC Studios, we wouldn't be shocked if he follows.

As for Mantis, there are still many stories Marvel Studios can tell with her, so fingers crossed she sticks around after next May's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

In The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, the Guardians, who are on a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill, head to Earth in search of the perfect present.

Marvel Studios' second Special Presentation stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and features Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, and The Old 97's, with Michael Rooker and Kevin Bacon.

James Gunn wrote and directed The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Gunn, Sara Smith and Simon Hatt, with David J. Grant and Lars P. Winther serving as co-producers.

Check out this newly revealed promo poster below.

It's gonna be fun, and right around the corner from Christmas. I loved the holiday cheer of Hawkeye, and the trailer for this made me grin ear to ear. Time to get into the family spirit, and just in time for Thanksgiving at that (which is why I'm assuming it's getting released when it is).

Wouldn't be a Holiday Special without Darth Flanders.

I think drax should have a picture of mantis. That'd be so cute, and be a nice follow up to his joke from guardians 2 where he kept insisting she was extremely ugly.

It'll be nice to care about the Guardians of the Galaxy again. They haven't truly had the spotlight since Infinity War. Endgame was understably brief and Love and Thunder left no impression on the team.

I was hoping for more of a variety show. Like a modernized version of the old Star Wars Christmas special. But, since the GOTG series has always had a familial theme, this could work.

The Halloween special was so good that it’ll be tough for this to measure up. Here’s hoping.

I have a feeling that Drax will be the one who dies in Guardians Vol 3. I think his story arc will find him admitting love and protection for Mantis because he sees his daughter in her and his form of bullying was to make her stronger. I think Peter will return to Earth to live and make up time with his relatives, Gamora and Nebula will leave the group and become Galactic Assassins. Rocket and Groot will also leave the group and live their lives in peace for Lylla. Leaving the door open for them to return in an Avengers crossover movie.
