During night 1 of San Diego Comic-Con, the first teaser for the upcoming twelfth season of American Horror Story, AHS: Delicate, was released online (via FearHQ.com), and it gives us a first look at the three lead characters played by Cara Delevingne, Emma Roberts... and Kim Kardashian!
A few eyebrows were raised when the reality TV star was announced as part of the cast, but Kardashian does have a couple of acting credits to her name (granted, none of them were substantial roles).
Details on KK's character are still under wraps, but we do know that creator Ryan Murphy came up with the part specifically for her.
“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” the showrunner shared in a recent statement. “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”
Aside from providing a few glimpses of the show's striking ladies in typically stylish/bizarre surroundings, the promo really doesn't reveal much about the story, but since this will be the first season of AHS to be directly adapted from an existing novel, Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine, we do have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
The story follows "an actress named Anna Alcott, who is convinced someone is trying to prevent her from conceiving a child. After failed rounds of IVF treatments, she thinks she's finally pregnant, only to suffer a miscarriage... at least, that's what her doctor tells her. Nobody will believe her, but she feels the baby still moving inside her."
