The first Insidious was a pretty effective little chiller, the second...not so much. Could this third instalment which takes things "back to the beginning" get things back on track? The trailer looks creepy enough anyway, and it stars Dirty Steve from Young Guns.

The newest chapter in the terrifying horror series is written and directed by franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell. This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.

The movie stars Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson, and Leigh Whannell and is set for release May 29, 2015.

Enjoyed the first one too. Didn't get a chance to see the second one yet. Not sure about this one. Teens (or actors playing teens) in horror movies annoy me now a days. Grumpy old man.

Wait... what?? pretty sure Insidious 2 end with a cliffhanger, so they're waiting to part 4 to end the story??
