CHUCKY: Brad Dourif's Demonic Doll Is Up To His Old Tricks In Full Trailer For CHILD'S PLAY Spinoff Series

Sorry Jack, Chucky's back!

Following a brief announcement teaser, the first full-length trailer for USA and SyFy's Chucky aired during Comic-Con@Home last night, finally giving us a proper look at the iconic, maniacal doll doing what he does best.

The Child's Play spinoff hails from franchise creator Don Mancini, and focuses on a bullied teenager named Jake who is struggling to cope after the death of his mother. He finds a vintage "Good Guy" doll at a yard sale, which just so happens to be the same murderous toy that was possessed by the spirit of notorious serial killer Charles Lee Ray many years before.

When Chucky gets up to his old tricks, suspicion falls upon Jake.

Based on what we see in the trailer, Chucky will be a little more serious in tone than the recent movies, but it looks like the demonic doll will retain his killer sense of humor. Though they don't appear in this footage, the show will also see the return of Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany, Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, and Christine Elise as Kyle. New cast members include Lexa Doig (Jason X) Devon Sawa (Final Destination).

“After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”

Chucky will premiere Oct. 12 at 10 p.m. on USA and SYFY

Good trailer but Chucky looks weird again. Looks to be on par with the last few movies. This should have gone to HBO or somewhere it can play with an R rating.

@r4dagast

On Syfy they have shows that show partial nudity and drop F-bombs regularly. And a lot of gore. So it being on regular cable may not stop it from being hardcore if thatś what you want.

@micvalpro - Mancini already said they’re allowed 10 F bombs an episode so between that and gore being approved keeping Chucky Chucky shouldn’t be an issue.
