Can you survive five nights?

The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse— the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man— brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen.

The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through. The film stars Josh Hutcherson (Ultraman, The Hunger Games franchise), Elizabeth Lail (You, Mack & Rita), Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy, Unstable), Kat Conner Sterling (We Have a Ghost, 9-1-1), with Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot, Fried Green Tomatoes) and Matthew Lillard (Good Girls, Scream).

Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind, Blood Moon) and is written by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi and Seth Cuddeback.

Five Nights at Freddy’s is produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon. The film’s executive producers are Bea Sequeira, Russell Binder and Christopher H. Warner. Universal Pictures presents a Blumhouse production, in association with Striker Entertainment.

Check out the new trailer below.

There have been several previous attempts to get a FNAF movie off the ground, with Chris Columbus (Harry Potter, Home Alone) attached to direct in 2018. An earlier version was in the works at New Line with Gil Kenan set to helm.

The first game launched back in 2014 for PC and consoles, and was set in a Chuck E. Cheese-like children’s restaurant called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, where the animatronic creatures come to life and go on a murderous rampage after dark.

Jim Henson’s Creature Shop has been enlisted to create the sinister group of children’s mascots.

@Matchesz -
Nope, the red eyes are only seen during 'hunt mode' when the spirits are angry/vengeful and trying to kill.

Peacock is genius for real. Last October they got people to subscribe for the year to stream Halloween Ends. Most people forget they signed up for the $19.99 for the year promotion so they will be re-enrolled. But for those who want to cancel it before being re-enrolled they will no second guess is to stream Five Nights at Freddy's and get locked in for another year. Brilliant marketing strategy for sure.

@CyberBishop - Dude, it's awesome. I have it on disk. And after watching that I just don't see how "FNaF" will compare. I honestly don't care if "WW" is a rip-off of "FNaF" or the other way around, but Nic Cage makes all the difference. ***SPOILER*** He literally doesn't say a single word in the entire movie, and he's still the boss. He's that good.

Now, is it a cheesy B-rated horror movie? Sure. But it's a cheesy B-rated horror movie with Nic F**king Cage vs. Chucky Cheese. That alone should sell it.
