Jessica Chastain On The Possibility Of Playing Older Bev In The IT Sequel: "I Hope We Can Make It Happen"
Andy Muschietti has already expressed interest in reuniting with Jessica Chastain for his IT sequel, and now the Mama actress has responded very positively to the idea of playing the older version of Bev.
Now that a sequel to smash-hit horror flick IT has officially been greenlit, director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti will soon have to begin thinking about casting the older incarnations of the main characters, and Andy has already revealed that he has Jessica Chastain in mind for Bev.
Chastain previously worked with Muschietti on Mama, and it sounds like the actress is also keen to re-team with the director to portray Beverley Marsh in IT 2.
Here's what she had to say about the possibility during an interview with ScreenRant:
“Well, I love Andy and Barbara, I worked with them on Andy’s directorial debut, you know, his film, Mama. His first film. And you know, Barbara is one of my best friends so… Listen, of course, I want to work… they’re my friends. They’re like my family. Anything that they’re doing I want to be a part of, so I hope we can make it happen.”
It definitely sounds like Chastain is interested, so let's see if both parties can work something out.
