For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

He's a constant enemy throughout the game. You see him coming, your [frick]ing run, I can't remember but I do believe you have to fight him as a boss eventually. His head was designed for one, to hide his face because horror stuff is always better left to imagination and that the acute design of it could be interpreted as being painful to wear, so basically sort of like a torture helmet. He basically acts as the executioner of the other world, against both humans and non humans, he [frick]s everybody's world up, he doesn't care what you are.

He's called Pyramid head and is more like Nemesis from Resident Evil appearing occassionaly. You get to fight three of him at the end of Silent Hill 2 though. Not sure but I think he featured in Silent Hill 3, which this movie is based on.

I love me some Pyramid Head. I remember getting his "Great Knife" in SH: 2... good times, good times.

That being said i'm positive no Silent Hill movie will ever truly capture the creepiness of the games. :(

I second that Sarah! Silent Hill 2 is probably the best video game experience for me. The whole dream-like and dark atmosphere, plus a fantastic story really works well. Silent Hill movie did capture a bit of that mood.
