Scream VI is a little over a month away from slashing its way into theaters, and with the action moving to New York City, all signs point to this being one of the most unique - and violent - instalments in the iconic franchise to date.

A new motion poster for the movie was recently released by Paramount Pictures UK that very cleverly makes use of the City that Never Sleeps' greenery to tease Ghostface's return. As you can see below, the various bodies of water within Central Park are rearranged to create the killer's mask, while the tagline promises, "New York. New Rules."

It's also been confirmed that the upcoming sixth instalment will also be the longest movie in the slasher franchise's history. According to Regal Cinemas (via FearHQ.com), the runtime is going to clock in at a not-insignificant 2 hours and 3 minutes. Scream and Scream 4 were 1 hour and 51 minutes, while the third and fifth instalments were 1 hour and 54 minutes.

The previous record-holder was Scream 2 at precisely 2 hours long, but this fifth chapter has it beaten. More time hopefully means more kills, and we cannot wait to see what twists and turns this next movie has in store for us.

Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter in Scream VI

Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin), Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed), and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett return to direct the action after 2022's Scream proved to be a critical and commercial hit, while the screenplay was penned by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.

Scream VI is set to be released in theaters on March 10.

So roughly two hours. Still the best runtime a movie can have in my opinion.

After drinking half a case of beer yesterday, I officially took a whiz that lasted 9 seconds more than my previous epic record.

I just wanted to let everyone know before Josh made a new article about it.
