"Don't rush. Die slow."

Slotherhouse, the latest killer animal (though this one isn't high on any illegal substances... as far as we know) movie, is set to hit theaters this week, and with tickets now on sale, we have the first clip and a new trailer for the low budget horror comedy (via FearHQ.com).

If you were wondering how Alpha, the lethal but disarmingly cute killer Sloth, is able to incapacitate and kill her victims despite moving at such a slow pace, you can find out by watching the hilarious sneak peek below.

While there's only a couple of reviews for the PG-13 movie online, they are surprisingly positive!

Slotherhouse is a movie that embodies the reckless abandon genre films can bring to the table. It scratches the sloth itch we didn’t know we had! Our team is thrilled to work on a project that really goes for it, claws and all,” said Nick Royak of Iconic Events Releasing.

“Slotherhouse’ was inspired by iconic cinema with a dedication to practical effects. It’s an homage to our favorite creature features and slashers with a FURocious horror icon for the modern world. Slotherhouse is simply bonkers,” added writer Cady Lanigan.

The movie stars Lisa Ambalavanar, Sydney Craven, Olivia Rouyre, Kelly Lynn Reiter, Bianca Beckles-Rose, Andrew Horton, Sutter Nolan, Grace Patterson, Milica Vrzić, Annamaria Serda, Rudi Rok, Tiff Stevenson and Stefan Kapičić, and releases August 30.

@Reeds2Much - early OP reviews are solid. I'm cautiously optimistic.

@TheFinestSmack - I hope so, but I watched CB and Bleach live action movies on Netflix and....yeah, lol. There's just this weird disconnect translating the properties. GITS was ripped a new one, but casting wise I think they did what they needed to. I don't know that Scar Jo was the best choice, but I was ok with it. They should cast to have these characters look accurate to how they're portrayed in the animation, but there's an insistence on Asian only characters mostly. I understand the reasons, but I don't always agree with it creatively. One Piece looks different, so I'm also cautiously optimistic.

@The1st - Oda is WAY more involved and more protective of OP than the creators of Bleach and CB. They just dropped a new trailer that's easily the best stuff they've shown yet.

Why does the sloth look like it's from a kickass jam band?
