Bloody-Disgusting reports that the director of the I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE remake, Steven R. Monroe, will be returning to helm the sequel, written by SAW IV's Thomas Fenton. The story follows a Missouri farm girl named Holly, who moves to New York where she meets three brothers who rape and torture her. As in the first film, she survives, and exacts her violent revenge.

DARIO ARGENTO'S DRACULA 3D
Fangoria reports that the, by all reports, atrociously terrible, DARIO ARGENTO'S DRACULA 3D has found US distribution. IFC Films will release it under the IFC Midnight label in 2013.

THE WAKE
Bloody-disgusting reports that Scott Snyder will be temporarily putting his current Vertigo horror comic, AMERICAN VAMPIRE, on hiatus with issue #34, and beginning a new series 12 issue miniseries called THE WAKE (for release next Spring) with artist Sean Murphy.
Snyder said this about the project:
“A horror, sci-fi story with post-apocalyptic elements that begins with a terrifying discovery about human evolution, and it takes place at the bottom of the ocean. It explores sea myths, such as sirens and seas serpents, all the things we are in awe of and terrified of the ocean.”

• DEAN KOONTZ'S FRANKENSTEIN is being developed at TNT, according to Shocktilyoudrop. James V. Hart and his son Jake Hart are writing the adaptation.
• Shocktilyoudrop reports that IFC Midnight has picked up WOULD YOU RATHER, written by Steffen Schlachtenhauffen, and starring Brittany Snow, Jeffrey Combs, Lawrence Gilliard, Jr., John Heard, Sasha Grey, Enver Gjokaj and Jonny Coyne. The dark, but comedic, thriller, follows a woman struggling in the wake of her parent’s death to make ends meet while caring for her terminally ill younger brother.
• Variety reports that Legendary Pictures has picked up the rights to THE JOIN, a sci-fi thriller written by Justin Rhodes that will be overseen by exec Alex Hedlund.
THE JOIN is set in the wake of a terrible particle accelerator accident, and follows a first response team sent in to investigate, only to find themselves targeted for assassination as soon as they emerge.
• The Hollywood Reporter says that MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, now over a decade in the making, has gone overbudget and overschedule, and that WB has dispatched producer Denise Di Novi to the set to get things back on track.
• Variety reports that the next project for Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, the French filmmakers that made INSIDE and LIVIDE, will be AMONG THE LIVING. The film’s story focuses on three kids who skip school, wander around an abandoned amusement park and then suddenly see a woman in chains being dragged through a field by a man in a clown's mask.
• According to Arrow in the Head, Grand Entertainment Group will release independent horror-comedy THE SELLING. THE SELLING, written and produced by Gabriel Diani , follows Richard Scarry, a too honest for his own good real estate agent who discovers the house he's invested in to raise money for his mother's hospital bills is haunted.
• Bloody-Disgusting reports that Gina Torres (ANGEL, SERENITY) has joined the cast of the HANNIBAL TV Show.
• According to Screen Daily, Tom Harper (THE SCOUTING BOOK FOR BOYS, MISFITS) will direct THE WOMAN IN BLACK: ANGEL OF DEATH, Hammer’s sequel to February’s Harry Potter in Hell flick.
