Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all--he's running with the popular crowd and dating the hottest girl in high school. In fact, he's so cool he's even dissing his best friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). But trouble arrives when an intriguing stranger Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there's something not quite right--and everyone, including Charlie's mom (Toni Collette), doesn't notice. After witnessing some very unusual activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on his neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone that he's telling the truth, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.

LEEE777 - Fright Night opens August 19.

Colin Farrell looks like an old Eddie Munster on crack. Im going to see this movie it looks fun, most Vampire movies are fun with the exception of diamond skinned hybrid basball playing pretty boys.

And getting off the subject, what the hell has happened to Sean Connery, just dont see that guy around anymore.

LoudLon: I think you have stated the exact problem with this film. I really enjoyed the original film, but this remake seems, like most remakes of '80s films, to miss the point of what made the original film something special entirely. This is just another twist of the "twilight" thing to me. I want to like this film, but it looks like just another formulaic "meh" to me.

And where is Peter Vincent? His character and his relationship with Charlie was central to the success of the original film. If he's in the film, he should at least be mentioned in the trailer.

I'm just gonna watch it because David Tennant is in it. They don't want to show him on the trailers because his character is so different than the original, that they will thrw people off. But they will all love him once the see the whole reason behind it. It is going to be amazing!
