VIKINGS Actress Katheryn Winnick Joins Idris Elba & Matthew McConaughey In THE DARK TOWER
Though many fans want to see her as Captain Marvel, Katheryn Winnick's next gig will be an undisclosed role in Sony and MRC’s adaptation of Stephen King's acclaimed The Dark Tower saga...
She's been a fan-favorite pick to play Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel for a while now, but according to Variety Vikings star Katheryn Winnick has signed on to star in director Nikolaj Arcel's adaptation of The Dark Tower.
The news has since been confirmed by THR, but neither trade mentions who she'll be playing so we assume it's being kept under wraps. My guess is Allie the bartender, as she's really the only prominent female character in the first novel.
Whoever Winnick winds up portraying, she'll join Idris Elba as Roland Deschain, Matthew McConaughey as The Man In Black, and Tom Taylor as Jake Chambers.
The Dark Tower is set to hit theaters on Feb. 17, 2017.
