JUSTICE LEAGUE Producer Charles Roven Admits That Overseeing DC Films Is Too Much For One Person

There was a time when Charles Roven was overseeing pretty much every single movie in the DC Films Universe but he's now admitted that producing the entire slate is too big a job for just one person...

Charles Roven has been part of the DC Films Universe from the start but after movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad underperformed, his role was scaled back by Warner Bros. and limited to just the projects he'd already been assigned to. That may or may not have always been the plan or dissatisfaction on the studio's part in regards to his work but it still came as a shock.

Now, in a new Q&A session, Roven has weighed in on his changing role in the DC Films Universe and how it may, in fact, be for the best that he's no longer having to oversee the entire slate for the studio.

"I think my role for the moment is to focus on those sequels but, you know, a couple of years ago, I was a producer on all of the Justice League movies," Roven explained to Deadline, "and their individual heroes movies, but it became very clear that in order to be a producer on those movies in the timeline that Warner Bros. wanted, it was way too big a job for one producer to oversee."

Regardless of how accurate Roven's explanation is, it's good that there are actually more cooks in the kitchen now because it's clear that some fresh perspectives may be required if these DC movies are going to succeed moving forward. What do you think? As always, let us know your thoughts below.
