Marvel Studios clearly has major plans for the upcoming slate of Disney+ series, which are sure to feature the MCU debuts of several heroes and villains from the comic books. One somewhat surprising character that's now rumored to appear in one (or more) of these shows is Union Jack.
The guys over at The Illuminerdi have heard that the British crime-fighter might be set to show up in a future project for the streaming service. We don't know which one, but Secret Invasion seems most likely.
Three different heroes have taken up the mantle of Union Jack on the page, and the first of them, James Montgomery Falsworth, actually appeared as one of the Howling Commandos in Captain America: The First Avenger as played by JJ Feild. Whether this version turns out to be a new take on Falsworth, the current comic book incarnation Joseph Chapman, or a brand new character remains to be seen.
We don't have a whole lot to go on beyond this, but the source does speculate that Union Jack could also make an appearance in Captain America 4, or possibly even the upcoming Blade reboot given his dealings with vampires in the comics.
What do you guys make of this? Do you think Union Jack would be a good addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
