Alison Brie (GLOW, Mad Men) has yet to land a role in a major studio franchise (superhero or otherwise), but there was a time when she was a fan-favorite pick to play She-Hulk thanks to a casting rumor that did the rounds back in 2020.
The "rumor" actually stemmed from a report which claimed that Marvel Studios was searching for an "Alison Brie-type" to play Jennifer Walters in its planned Disney+ series, and whether there was any truth to this or not, Brie maintains that she was never contacted about the part.
During an interview with ComicBook, the Community alum was asked if there were any other Marvel heroes she would like to suit-up as in the MCU, and it sounds like the Zoya the Destroyer actress is more interested in a villainous role!
"Nothing specifically that I have set my sights on, no, and I think that would be a mistake, because clearly you can't really dictate," she told the site. "Marvel's going to do their thing, as they should. I think there's a fantasy deep in my mind that one day I would get to play a great Marvel villain, but I don't know which one that would be. People, fans, send me some ideas so I can start the campaign."
We'll throw it over to you guys! Are there any Marvel Comics villains we haven't seen in the MCU yet that you feel Brie would be a good fit for?
Alison may not have any live-action Marvel roles lined up, but she us it set to lend her voice to the upcoming Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur animated series.
