BOX OFFICE: ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY Has Now Passed $900 Million Worldwide

It looks like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will remain at the top of the North American box office this weekend despite stiff competition from Hidden Figures, and it's hit a benchmark worldwide!

The latest numbers for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are in, and with an estimated $21.9 million in North America this weekend, it looks like it will remain at #1 for the fourth weekend in a row despite nearly being dethroned by Hidden Figures ($21.8 million). There's a chance that movie could still come out on top, but we won't know for sure until the final numbers are released by the studios tomorrow.

In China, the movie has debuted with an estimated $31 million, a so-so figure which has at least added a decent chunk to its current international cume. With $477.3 million domestically and $914.4 million internationally, Rogue One has secured a worldwide total of $914.4 million. Next up? $1 billion!

It's interesting to see just how close the movie's domestic and international grosses are, and the top overseas territories are the UK ($73 million), Germany ($41 million), France ($33 million), Australia ($32 million), Japan ($31 million), China ($31 million), Spain ($15 million), Brazil ($14 million), Russia ($11 million), and Italy ($10 million). How much do you think Rogue One will ultimately end up earning?

Now off to $1 billion! I don't care if it surpasses CW or not. Both are amazing and both are held by Disney so in the end Disney and us (fans) win anyway. And that comes from a HUGE SW fan here.
