STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Passes BEAUTY AND THE BEAST To Become The Highest-Grossing Movie Of 2017
Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedimay have flopped in China, but our latest adventure to the galaxy far, far away still managed to pass Beauty & The Beast to become the highest-grossing film of 2017.
We recently reported that Star Wars: The Last Jedi must now be considered a flop in China after grossing just $38.8 million before being pulled from over 90% of screenings, but that won't be considered much of a setback for Rian Johnson's space adventure, which continues to rake it in everywhere else.
Not only is The Last Jedi knocking on the door of the top 10 highest-grossing movies of all time, but with $1.264 billion worldwide it has now passed another of Disney's box office behemoths, Beauty and The Beast, to officially become the most profitable film of 2017.
It remains to be seen if the somewhat divisive Star Wars movie can move up any more places on that top 10 list, but we'll keep you guys updated on its progress.
