Holy sh*t!
One final trailer has been released for
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker , and it drops some major new details about The Emperor. During an exchange with Kylo Ren, the villain reveals that he's been the voice inside Ben Solo's head all along, and we then hear him becoming Supreme Leader Snoke AND Darth Vader!
This essentially confirms that Palpatine was Snoke, and that when Kylo Ren was talking to Vader's charred helmet in
The Force Awakens, he wasn't hearing his grandfather, but the man who turned Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side all those years before.
Needless to say, this is one heck of a spoiler to drop so close to the movie's release. But it was to be expected, and it explains a lot of what we saw in both
The Force Awakens and
The Last Jedi.
