It's been almost two decades since M. Night Shyamalan debuted what many consider to be his best film, Unbreakable. Since then, it has gone on to become a cult classic and a must-watch for every comic book movie fan. Throughout the years, the director has only teased the idea of a sequel, but all that changed when he surprised fans with his recent supernatural thriller, Split, which builds on the Unbreakable Universe, and sets up the long-awaited sequel, Glass.

Through his Twitter account, Shyamalan has been keeping fans updated on Glass and its development, and earlier today the director revealed that Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story) would be the latest addition to the cast, tweeting, "Incredibly fortunate to round out our iconic cast of actors on #Glass... @MsSarahPaulson will be joining us. #powerhouse."

The film also stars Bruce Willis as David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price/Mr. Glass, James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Beast, Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey, and is set to hit theaters January 18th, 2019.

I'm hyped for our other CBM's like Justice League, Thor: Ragnarok, Infinity War, and Black Panther, but I've been waiting 20 years for Glass and it's almost here!

Also, Shyamalan held a fan art contest for Split when the movie was premiering and the top three are just incredible.

@Kr08 - Have not seen this fan art. This movie surprised the hell out of me. Acting, story, and Shamalan, man WHAT A TWIST!

YES! Beast vs Unbreakable. But how does Mr. glass fit in? Does he help Dunn or seek out the Beast?

Can't wait for Glass!

Unbreakable is one of the most underrated masterpieces of all time, let alone superhero films.

@ALostCause - Im about ready to see her get the hell outta that AHS franchise at this point

@ALostCause - Seriously, though. She is an immensely evocative actor. I, personally, love every character, that she's portrayed, on AHS.

Even that miniseries about rotten Orange Juice.

Is it wrong that I want to be inside of this woman? Us giving each other endless moments of pleasure?

A man can dream...

Split was one of the best thrillers I've seen in a while.

M. Knight is Back!

I am insanely intruiged by this. Love both films, have NO ide where it could go and how McAvoy & Jackson's characters could unite. Felt like Jackson fulfilled his character's purpose and lifegoal by finding David. Hope there's a killer twist too. Love me a Shyamalan twist. One of the few directors who can come up with twists you don't see coming. His good movies have great endings not only because of the twists, but because they bring this feeling of completion and cathartsis. The way everything made sense and came together in Signs was so good.

Also hope McAvoy has more personalities come out to play beyond the main 4 in this one. Never got how all the personalities can refer to the villainous group (Patricia, Hedwig, Beast and Dennis) as the Horde. 3 or 4 is hardly a horde. Dumb name.

Wait I've got it. Split's thing was that he could change his physiology to suit his personalities yeah?

Mr Glass one of his personalities! Guy turns black when he needs to! Or even just when he's watching Pulp Fiction and feels that urge we all get to say lines in a Sam Jackson voice.

I hate to be a nit-picky asshat, but McAvoy's character isn't called the Beast, that's just one personality, at the end of the film, the news channel is referring to him as "The Horde"

Split>Unbreakable. at least for me. i'm interested in third part. hoping that Willis character will be less dummy than in Unbreakable. because ... let's face it. he was kind of dummy.

So far M Knight's superpowered universe has three unique characters. I hope this adds a few more new ones.

@superbigguy32 - beautiful art pieces....I always wanted a poster of those... 'just to join in the (deserved) lovefest here, Unbreakable is one of the best superhero movies. Ever.....from the score to the direction to acting to the costumes.....it never gets old. I cannot wait to see Glass and while I have a bad feeling David doesn't survive till the end credits, I would love if Casey got her own "Unbreakable-costume" and became the newest super-protector of Philly by the time it's over...

@write33 - I'm really looking forward to see how the story will be, and what kind of twist is involved. Maybe David Dunn's sonhas gained so superpowers and he's his sidekick or something.
