Seeing all 13 Doctors saving the day together ON SCREEN was a dream come true for me. Capaldi's appearance was just the icing on top of the already delicious cake.

When all 13 appeared in their respective TARDIS...I literally got chills. Nothing from the series can compare to seeing all of the Doctors work together to save Galifrey!!!! FANTASTIC!

This was the best part of the whole special bit disappointed that Christopher Eccleston wasn't actually in it but it was still fantastic.

I agree. The story felt rushed & they didn't really give a definitive reason why John Hurt claimed himself "Warrior".

My favorite was Tom Baker's cameo

NYCGEEK@ They did give a reason...he was the Warrior because he was the one that fought in the Time War. The 8th Doctor wouldn't do it and therefore he regenerated into Hurt's 9th Doctor and he was the one that fought.

Doesn't hold a candle to THIS.

@JatevinM He didn't fight in the Time War. They actually prevented it & when he did come to Galifrey...he didn't fight. All he did was shoot "NO MORE" into the wall, knock a few Daleks back with the TARDIS & steal the moment. That's it.

@NYCGEEK

A)They gave a very good reason why he chose to become a Warrior. It's called The Night of the Doctor. You saw this, yes? Where the 8th Doctor regenerates into The War Doctor One who's a much younger looking version of John Hurt than the one Day of the Doctor. What did you think he did all that time while aging? Watch reality TV?

S yes, he did fight in the Time War. They, at no point, prevented the Time War. What you're describing was explicitly THE LAST DAY of the Time War in the second city of Arcadia. What was prevented was The War Doctor using The Moment to destroy Gallifrey and The Daleks in favor of a plan that "faked" Gallifrey's death by vanishing it from reality in a pocket universe made form an instant of trapped time.

As far as the universe at large knows, Gallifrey was still destroyed in the Time War along with The Daleks and happen stance occurred more or less the same way. For silly sci fi TV, there definitely seem to be issues following the plot.

Terminal, what I am getting at is that WE as viewers did NOT see him as the "Warrior". Plus, when he went back into the TARDIS...he regenerated into Chris (9th).
