One of the best looking (if not best looking) film of the year so far. I’ll be shocked if it doesn’t get a best cinematography nomination.

Every frame was a work of art that should be hanging on the wall. Just a gorgeous film to watch.

This Dune art book arrived at my door today.

It's honestly one of the most stunning "Art of" film books i've ever seen.

It perfectly compliments the already gorgeous looking film.

I strongly recommend this book to everyone who loved Dune and its amazing visuals and cinematography.

I enjoyed it but it just kinda ends. I think it needed to be longer honestly. I hope he puts out a Director’s Cut

@McMurdo - I think they really should have filmed part 1 and part 2 back to back... I REALLY don't want to wait 2 years 🙃

This movie was absolutely beautiful. I still had no idea wtf was going on 80% of the time though.

Man I’m starting to think I don’t like DV’s movies… I felt like with Bladerunner it was gorgeous but it felt soulless and hollow to me and this was that on steroids. I think visually it’s one of the most beautiful films I’ve ever seen but I was bored almost the entire time and was just confused at to what was going on.

This movie felt like I watched 3 movies but every other frame was cut out is the best way I can describe it. It felt crammed but also like everything was missing context that it assumed was already there. I really wanted to like it and I’m kinda sad because the one scene where the worm first appeared really brought me into it after not liking the beginning but then it fell back off for me.

This just feels like it should be a tv show because I kept feeling like if this was slowed down and fleshed out it would be something I’d enjoy but I couldn’t connect with any character or any storyline bc it all felt like way too much and made it so none of it had an impact.

@Ha1frican - it’s one of those films that will get better with repeat viewings. Lore wise I mean. The book is dense as is the film.

@globaltravels - I think im going to try and revisit it later if the sequel happens but break it up into smaller chunks an maybe watch a breakdown. My instinct is "well then it doesnt work as a movie" but I do really want to like it because there were elements that I did find really cool and want to see more of especially stuff I saw in the premonitions
