In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented - but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" - a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) - is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good... until the day the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.

Looper is now playing in theaters.

I hated the ending to this movie. Made a good movie into a MEH! movie.

The poster is very well made, but the stripper girl feels poorly lighted and out of place.

It's so hilarious how Gordon-Levitt tries to emulate Willis' mimics to look like a young version of him...

I thought Gordon-Levitt managed to subtely pull off a young Willis. And the ending was him learning not to be selfish in a way

The ending was so cliche, seen it at least 5 times in the past couple of years (albeit not limited to Hollywood films). The rest of the film was so creative and unpredictable that I was expecting something really fantastic for the finish, but alas what I got was mediocre... It's pretty frustrating because a great creative ending could've made this a memorable masterpiece.

Overrated, but still solid film.
