The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.

Lionsgate presents, a Color Force / Lionsgate production, a Francis Lawrence film.

Okay I will admit that even after not liking the previous movies, after seeing this trailer I'm definitely intrigued to watch the next movie.

It's just Snow white and the huntsman now. The games and the politics were what made the first two so interesting.

I thought the first one was okay, but I loved the second one, and now it looks like they're going to war in this one.

@VenomInside Phillip Seymour-Hoffman. I don't think he was CGI, but if he was...That was GREAT CGI.

I have read all three books, if they split this third book the way I think they will then this "part 1" will be an average movie... Lots of woah is me "why did this happen to me... I don't want to lead anyone"... Part 2 would be very very good though... Lots of references to the first two books, lots and lots of action

Hoffman finished a majority of his Hunger games work right before he died so no CGI. The writers had to change up certain scenes to write his character out but from my understanding- roughly 85% of his work was done.

Also that boy at the end asking "will you fight with us Katniss?" Was TERRIBLE. Seriously. Who hired him??? Fire the casting lady stat!

@brezic65 -- Yeah, that's my feeling. Part 1 is probably gonna be pretty boring, to be honest, because the first half of Mockingjay was just Katniss wandering around District 13 like a zombie moaning, "Why me? I don't want to lead a rebellion!" and filming videos and planning war strategy. I mean, I'm sure they'll add action into it. But Part 2 should definitely be the better movie. (Though I'll obviously see both.)

I believe he was on set filming Mockinjay, but whether he finished his part I'm unsure.

Ready for this shit to end, hopefully it will the be the last of the tween movies such as this and Twilight.

The last book was so short I don't know why their making the movie in two parts that's stupid they just want to make money. The ending to the book sucked anyways, still going to watch the movies though lol
