0k so I finaly saw planet of the apes today after push back since friday and i must admit it was asowme heres the rundown

STORY

The story in this movie was so engaging that i was rooting for the apes, one or two scenes even made me cry, this movies story is a prime example of how you right a story(take notes micheal bay)and this movie was not only a reboot but a prequel as well(somthing xmen fc faild at)now before i go further i want two point out that i have never seen any P.O.T.A movies before this so i had no clue about the history of this franchise but did get the refrences to the original i for one would like to see this as its own franchise and ignore the original but thats just me.

CAST

The cast all did a great job here james franco how we all know from sam raimis spider man films did a great job as main chareter will rodman, now like a lot of people when they heard he was cast as a sciencetest we all laughed but he did a really good job as this chareter.
next up is freida pinto as wills love interset caroline aranha shes pretty much just there to be will's love interst nothing special she did fine i guess.
then ther's john lithgow as will's father charles rodman i fought he did well in this role very belvible and SPOILERS******* when he died in the movie i cryed like little gril ***** SPOILERS OVER
but i think the breakout preformence of the movie was andy serkis as caesar he was amzing as this chareter he put so much depth to the chareter that i thoght i was wtching real life he should a at least get an oscar nomination for his role

DIRECTION

I thought the direction in this movie was great, rupert wyatt did a great job bringing these chareters to life especially becuse he is an unkown directior, his style of film making is simmler to that of matthew vaughn in were the pither is bright and shows off the colouers a bit.

OVERALL

this easily my favriot movie of the year and i will deffenetily by this on blu ray the day it comes out.

9/10

NOTE:im new to this so i apologize if this sucks and plese dont delete this it took me a goddam half hour to do this

i completely agree with you! you should change the spelling of character! you spelt it charecter...every single time....it doesn't really bother me but alot of people will be correcting you soon...especially if your going to start doing reviews!

but aside from that. well done!

I have seen all the planet of the apes movies and even though the main plot of the story is the same....its still and awesome movie and is original in its own way!

this could possibly be the movie of the year. It was so good and at times. Andy Serkis is by far the best actor in the whole film and he didn't really say anything. The expressions on Caesar's face made it so you could tell everything he was thinking.
