After helping Gareth Edwards with similar "ending/plot issues" on 2014's Godzilla, Tony Gilroy was brought in by Lucasfilm to provide a timely assist on Rogue One reshoots. Given the film's portrayal as a troubled production in the media, has that scared off any potential moviegoers from buying advanced tickets? It's likely that critic reviews will prove more crucial than normal as even longtime Star Wars fans are casting a skeptical eye towards a prequel film where everyone already knows the outcome.

Or perhaps Rogue One is a tale where we learn that what everyone in the Star Wars universe believes occurred is not quite how events unfolded?

Do you plan on seeing the film opening day?  Do you think Star Wars is such a popular IP that even with negative press, it will still set the box office afire? Let us know in the comment section below.

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", an all-new epic adventure. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves. In theaters December 2016.

Look...
...We stated many times how to fix this.

Give us something fresh, buck the Mouse House Trend and deliver something that might send Little Billy home with a tear instead of smile.

Yes...Little Billy might not be happy...but he might be a little wiser for it.
