Luke Skywalker and the ragtag band of rebels fighting against the Galactic Empire are fresh off their biggest victory yet—the destruction of the massive battle station known as the Death Star. But the Empire's not toppled yet! Join Luke along with Princess Leia, smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca, droids C-3PO and R2-D2 and the rest of the Rebel Alliance as they strike out for freedom against the evil forces of Darth Vader and his master, the Emperor. Written by Jason Aaron (Original Sin, Thor: God of Thunder) and with art by John Cassaday (Astonishing X-Men, Uncanny Avengers), this is the Star Wars saga as only Marvel Comics could make it!

Pretty cool. But I just wish that had Steve McNiven do the art for this. His style would have been better suited in my opinion.

anyway . . .

This has to be one of THE most "homaged" covers ever. Always a fun time.

(Notice of clarification: At no time do I imply, suggest, or state unequivocally that it is the single most copied cover of all time. Please re-read and understand. I will not be held responsible for stupid misinterpretations of easy to understand words.)

@dethpillow

While I appreciate the suggestion (ya' know, endless exposure to the mind-numbing ramblings of the wicca inspired), the LAST thing I need is further cause to unleash the rage and rail against the universe (or more specifically, the logically challenged). The constant droning of the chest-thumping-mantra, I'm smart. You're dumb. that passes for argument or debate, is more than enough to keep fueled my growing list of reasons to unplug from the Inter Web.

But you're right on when suggesting a permanent add-on . . . a copy and paste-able paragraph if you will, to include in every bit of discourse on this site. Every effort should be made to head off – not only confusion – but outright and deliberate misunderstandings. But I fear that is nigh on impossible. The response to "I like ice cream!" is more often than not, "YOU SUCK RAT FECES! How can you say cake isn't as good! YOU"RE A HYPOCRITE! You should LOVE cake. It has eggs and I know you'll be surprised to find out ice cream ALSO has eggs in it!" LMAO!

Uhg. oh the humanity . . .

This is cool. STAR WARS has great source material to pull from in the EU so I can't wait to see what they do cinematically with these spinoffs and new trilogy.

I had a 9.6 WP Giant Size a few years back. Sold it. Made good bank... but I'd like it back. That'd be nice.
