This has been a rumour for some time, but now it's officially confirmed! Fans will be able to see all six Star Wars movies right before The Force Awakens is released in mid-December. They will be shown in chronological order in terms of the overall story (from The Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi). This will all take place on December 17 and take about 15.5 hours total for all seven films, excluding breaks in between. Ticket sales will start on October 19 after the new trailer debuts during the American Football game in which the Giants will crush the Eagles.

Will YOU attend this marathon? Are you that much of a fan? Sound off below!

For me, the marathon starts with a New Hope. No real point in watching the prequels again, just enjoy the original trilogy and HOPEFULLY Force Awakens.

Damn. I hope my REAL IMAX here in Raleigh does this. I'd rather do the marathon than camp out. I also don't wanna have to go to the LieMAX...

Ya I can't sit in the theatre for this long and I agree @interestingman I don't get all the hate for the prequels although a akin could of been portrayed a lil better in live action. But in clone wars he was amazing.

Why should I pay for this in the theater when I have a home theater (that is better than most theaters) and SW Blue Ray at my house? Pass.

No love for the Jedi, Liam as Qui-Gon, and the truly best damn thing about the prequels.

Ewan as Obi-Wan.

Marathon Battle plan.

1. Sleep for 6 hours.

2. Wake up and watch the original trilogy.
MrFridayNights

I can't hate the prequels since I grew up them. Revenge of the Sith is better than Return of the Jedi.
MrFridayNights
MrFridayNights - 10/18/2015, 6:57 AM
But obviously A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back are better than The Phantom Manace and Attack of the Clones.
