Could THE HANDMAID'S TALE Director Reed Morano Be In Line To Helm An Upcoming STAR WARS Movie?

Reed Morano has revealed that she met with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy about a project that she can't say too much about. It's not too much of a stretch to assume it's something Star Wars related.

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy recently promised that we'd be seeing more female directors taking the helm of upcoming Star Wars projects, and we might just have an idea of who she has in mind.

Reed Morano has garnered a lot of attention for her work on acclaimed dystopian drama series The Handmaid's Tale, and during an interview with THR, the director reveals that she recently had a long sit-down with Kennedy to discuss... something.

"She's amazing. We're talking about adventure movies, and I'm not even remembering that she produced Goonies. Any movie that I put my finger on that I loved when I was growing up was a movie that she produced. Anyway, it was a great meeting. Obviously, I can't say anything about what else we were talking about."

Morano doesn't mention the galaxy far, far away, but it wouldn't be a hyper-space jump to make the connection.

There are other possibilities, of course, but assuming this meeting was about a future Star Wars flick, are there any particular characters or stories you'd like to see her tackle? Drop us a comment in the usual place.

I'm with it. We need more women directing movies like these.

"Bounty Hunters" with Boba Fett as protagonist.

Something similar to a Suicide Squad.
