Daisy Ridley and John Boyega recently attended a press conference in Japan. While they were there, they spoke on Finn and Rey's relationship in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and they revealed their favorite characters and films from the franchise. Hit the jump to check it out!

While speaking with Japanese news site RocketNews24, the 23 year old actors spoke on the "natural chemistry" between Daisy Ridley's Rey and John Boyega's Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. "We both represent a friendship to each other that neither of us have had before. We’ve never had someone speak to us like an equal person. I think it’s a wonderful dynamic." Daisy Ridley said of the two Resistance fighters. Co-star Boyega then chimed in and added, "There’s an instant chemistry between the two characters, and it isn’t really explained why, not even to us as actors. As soon as Finn sees danger, based on his past, I would expect him to just run in the opposite direction…but he grabs her hand, you know, wants her to be safe." Boyega then goes on to suggest that a version of the Force brings the two characters together. "So perhaps it’s a version of the Force bringing us together, or it’s just because we have a natural chemistry."
Later in the interview, the two actors revealed their favorite film and character from the Star Wars franchise. Rey went first, while revealing her two sided approach of the Ewoks. "My favorite is Return of the Jedi because I love the Ewoks. But when I see them on toys and on T-shirts, they’re really, really creepy, so now I’m, like, changing my mind." As for her favorite character, who'd be a better choice than the wisest Jedi to ever live. "My favorite character is Yoda, because I think he’s funny and brilliant. And working with puppeteers, just the fact that an inanimate thing can be brought to life by someone moving their hand, I just think it’s amazing."
John Boyega then revealed his favorite Star Wars film, and provided a subtle reason for his choice. "I like Empire Strikes Back. That’s my favorite. Reason being because it’s just the best, hands down. Everybody knows that." He then revealed his favorite Star Wars character. "My favorite character is Han Solo, because I really like characters who represent human beings in sci-fi pics...There’s this more human, more like “chilled” approach to everything, and these characters remind the audience of themselves." He then elaborated on his words. "Those are the characters that I feel are much more loved than the others, because they run when we would run, they are brave when we would feel brave, and they’re…a reflection of humanity."
