After the first Star Wars films hit theaters, Harrison Ford held the record for the highest grossing actor of all time at the domestic box office. However, in 2005 Samuel L. Jackson (who played Mace Windu in the Star Wars franchise), unseated Ford, and took that title for the next eleven years! Well, it seems as though with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Harrison Ford was able to take that title back, and reclaim his spot as the highest-grossing movie actor of all time!

Box Office Mojo reports that Harrison Ford grossed $4.699 billion at the North American box office, courtesy of the forty-one films he's featured in. Samuel L. Jackson on the other hand, grossed $4.626 billion for the sixty-eight films he's appeared in. Ford grossed most of his money from "The Force Awakens", which made up $764.4 million of his total gross, and Marvel's The Avengers made up $623.4 million of Jackson's total gross. Even though both men racked up huge amounts of money in their careers, Ford is the apparent winner here!

Will Jackson eventually pass Ford again in the future, or will Ford hold on to that title for the next eleven years? Here's another question for you; Do you think Robert Downey Jr. pass them both by the time his career is over? Well, see all the answers in time! What do you think?
