New STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Concept Art Offers A Look At ‘Lor San Tekka’

New Star Wars: The Force Awakens concept art has surfaced that gives us a great look at Max von Sydow’s Lor San Tekka. Even though he only had about 3 minutes of screen-time, I'm sure he played a very important role in the events that took place before "The Force Awakens". Below, you can find two pieces of art that sees Tekka speaking with Poe, and falling to Kylo Ren and the First Order.

Starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is currently showing in theaters. What do you think about these new pieces of art?

I'm thinking that we're going to get some flash backs with him in it.

Remember when people thought Von Sydow was going to be the new villain?

Good times.

I would seriously love to learn more about this guy. He and Leia apparently go way back, given his "Princess" reference, and how he knows who Kylo really is. I mean, he sees the bigger picture, that without the Jedi to maintain balance in the Force, they'll always be a Dark Side force on the rise. I mean HOW did he even get the last piece to Skywalker's map?!

They frickin' wasted him! That was one of my few actual complaints with the movie.

I was like, "AWESOME! Max Von Sydow already!"

10 seconds later,

"Uh, what?"

I might be reaching...but maybe he is Leia's adopted father. He survived the explosion of Alderran and is going by an alias. In Revenge of the Sith he made alot of enemies with the empire and once his home planet was destroyed he changed his named and went underground.
