Possible STAR WARS ANTHOLOGY: ROGUE ONE Details

We recently found out that Darth Vader might be showing up in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars flick, and if the following information is on the level, he'll be far from the only familiar face we'll be seeing! Click on for more, but only if you don't mind potential SPOILERS...

More and more rumors about Gareth Edwards' Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One continue to do the rounds, and these latest (possible) details are sure to get fans talking - even if it's a bit premature to get overly hyped. Bloody Disgusting's source reckons it won't just be the Dark Lord of the Sith that'll be making his presence felt in the movie, but Empire Strikes Back bounty hunters Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss, 4LOM, and IG-88 too! Plus, according to them animated Clone Wars character Cad Bane will make his live-action debut. In addition, they have details on the character Ben Mendelsohn is said to be in talks for.

"Ben Mendelsohn’s new Moff character is indeed the big baddie of Rogue One. The other main villains of the piece are bounty hunters hired by the Moff to quietly retrieve the stolen Death Star plans at all costs. Vader factors in once he realizes that the plans have been stolen, so he joins the hunt in a supporting role and is none too pleased.

There's also talk of a Wookie bounty hunter joining the crew, but they say they haven't been able to confirm that. This sounds like a Star Wars fan's dream... which is why it might be best to remain sceptical until we have a bit more to go on. The prospect of seeing that bounty hunter squad in action is incredibly exciting though, so hopefully there's some truth to it.

Star Wars: Rogue One will focus on a rogue band of resistance fighters uniting to steal the plans for the original Death Star. The cast includes (so far) Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Diego Luna, Sam Clafin, Forest Whitaker, and Riz Ahmed. The movie will hit theaters December 16, 2016.

They could literally show us any part of the Star Wars universe and instead they decide to do a stupid Han Solo prequel?

Rogue One looks alright, but the Solo solo pic can die in a hole.

No but seriously, stop being an abusive prick. Someone's gonna take you out.

This sounds amazing. I love Cad Bane, and the bounty hunters. At first I was against the anthology movies but it's growing on me. Though, we all know whoever the new character is is gonna die.

Sure, it sounds like a fan's dream BUT why would Vader hire those same bounty hunters to find Solo if they had already failed to retrieve the Death Star plans? Even if this new Moff did the hiring, surely Vader would know...

At some point the plans have to be handed off to Captain Antilles and Princess Leia. I wonder if Carrie Fisher's daughter is cast as her?

@MrMartyMarvel Cad Bane is indeed, one of the best characters introduced in The Clone Wars, along with Ventress.

And I'm more interested in this idea than The Force Awakens.

I better get my solo Ben Kenobi film starring Ewan McGregor. He was one of the only good parts of the prequels. (The films, anyway. The Clone Wars pretty much redeemed that whole era imo)

What if... the resemblance is strong, mostly Mendelsohn(hell of an actor) with Cad Bane.
