SPOILERS STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI 6 Questions that needed to be answered

SPOILERS
Star Wars the last Jedi is a bit controversial. But all would agree that there are many unanswered questions. Here are only a few of those loose ends that were not addressed.

#1 Map leading to the Last Jedi

In episode 7 we followed Rey and Finn on their adventure to help BB-8 get back to the Resistance base, with a map that would lead to the legendary Luke Skywalker. The question is, who made the map? Who else knew where Luke was? Why did R2 have the other missing part? Why was R2 in low power mode during the time of Luke’s absence? It appears as if R2 was with Luke up until his self-exile. Did Luke make the map?

#2 Knights of Ren

We know that Kylo “Ren” is a member of the Knights of Ren. But, where are they? Little is still known about this mysterious group of darkside users. Luke mentions in The Last Jedi that Kylo took some of his students with him. Are they members of the Knights of Ren? Do they still even exist?

#3 Darth Vader

In episode 7 we found Kylo Ren speaking to the charred remains of a mask and helmet that belonged to his grandfather none other than the dark lord of the Sith Darth Vader. Kylo requested that Vader show him “again” the dark side of the force. It appears somehow, he was able to interact with “Vader”, even though we saw him redeemed In The Return of the Jedi. And even saw his force ghost at the celebration on Endor. So, who has Kylo been speaking to? Was it another trick of Snoke? How did Kylo get his Mask?

#4 Rey’s powers

Everyone had their theory on Rey’s lineage. It was explained for us by Kylo Ren, who through the force claimed he saw Rey’s parents, and revealed that they were nobodies. Drunkards buried in a shallow grave. If that’s the case, and Rey never had Jedi training, how could she be so good in combat?  Why does she act surprised in Episode 7 when she somehow knows how to fix anything that’s damaged? As if she has some suppressed memories. How does she know how to perform a Jedi mind trick? Something only a well-trained Jedi can conjure. Why did Luke’s lightsaber call to her? Why did Obiwan speak to her?

#5 Luke’s Death

One of the biggest gripes for many was the death of Luke Skywalker. We saw him looking off into the distance, seemingly at peace and become one with the force. But what killed him? Was the force trick he performed the reason for his demise? Or did he somehow become one with the force on purpose essentially killing himself? Did Kylo someone mortally wound him in battle? Since he was apparently able to physical touch Rey from a distance.

#6 What’s next for Leia ?

It was moving watching Carrie Fisher on screen during The Last Jedi, knowing it would be her last performance as the beloved Leia Organa Solo. However, when The Last Jedi ended we saw Leia still active in the Resistance. Since Disney has already stated they will not CGI the actress in future installments, how will it be handled in the next film? Will they recast? Will they start the movie with her having died between films? Will the next movie start years in the future?

These are just a few questions floating around in hyperspace about the past, present, and the future of everyone’s favorite Galaxy far far away. What are some of the other big questions yet to be answered? Are the questions listed above, subjects that need to be addressed in future installments? Leave a comment below, And may the Force be with you!

#1 - Han says that people close to Luke knew that he's gone looking for the first Jedi Temple. That's the map to that, and logically, to Luke.

#2 - Episode IX villains anyone?

#3 - The question of how he finds the helmet is of very little importance for a 2-hours movie, probably will be explained in some book. He says show me again probably because he visualize him as a symbol, a model to follow and its just the "idea" of Darth Vader that speaks to Kylo, not the actual ghost. When he gets called to the light side, he focus again on the character of Vader, to find darkness again.

#4 - IF it's true that her parents are just some random guys, the lightsaber called her because of the Kyber crystal in it. Far-fetched since the crystals call only the pre-destinated Jedi that will use them, but makes sense. Obi-Wan speaks to her because he probably "haunts" the lightsaber, like it's a focusing center of the Force.
Also her melee skills are OBVIOUSLY from her Jakku life, where she fights with the staff. Same for fixing stuff.
Mind trick is the same as the Force pull from Episode V, if i remember correctly, someone confirmed this. Also, differently from Luke, she knew from various legends that Jedi had powers so she had some initial basis for trying.

#5 - Johnson, or someone else, said, if i'm not wrong, that he basically made a full-sensorial Force-telepathy that drained all his living Force from him. He used all of his energy for that trick so he died... and maybe, using all of the energy with the Force in the moment of death is the way to become one with it (both Yoda and Obi-Wan could have been concentrating when they died, but not Qui-Gon)

#6 - Leia will probably die between the movies and Episode IX will probably begin with her funeral (and that will be also a very nice nod to the ring structure, linking with the end of Episode III).

They should have give Poe a medal instead of demoting him, if he hadn’t blown up that dreadnaught ship then the movie would have been over in 10 minutes because it’s cannons can blow holes right thru the shields.
