STAR WARS REBELS: 'Leia' Debuts In This Clip From "A Princess On Lothal"

Yesterday we found out that Disney XD's animated Star Wars Rebels series would introduce a teenage Princess Leia in the upcoming January 20 episode, and now we have a sneak peek featuring the iconic character meeting Kanan and the crew of the Ghost for the first time...

We were reintroduced to General Leia Organa in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the return episode of Star Wars Rebels will take us back to the character's teenage revolutionary years as the young Princess arrives on Lothal to liaison with Kanan, Ezra and co.

This take on Leia won't be brought to life by Carrie Fisher, as instead we have Julie Dolan (who also played Leia in the video game Star Wars: Uprising) on voice duty. Check out our first clip from "A Princess On Lothal" below.

"The teenage princess is sent to Lothal—the base planet for the series’ main characters, a group of rebel fighters—on a secret mission to bring ships for the rebel fleet. Unfortunately an Imperial lockdown throws that plan into chaos."

Given the timeframe, I bet we also see a teen Luke at one point.

@Nivekian So Leia is a teen in this episode. Her and Luke are twins after all...she doesn't seem that young here

@Batmaniac this weird. She doesn't appear so at all. Obviously, a 100 times more mature than Ezra. So what she's like 14??? Naaa. I agree with you man

Why would Luke be on this show? He has nothing to do with the Rebellion at this point.

Marvelites, now starwarsites are so double standards, when gotham brings characters that are not supposed to have met already ONLY FOR FAN SERVICE they are shit, but this shows, that complete craps over the movies, is great....

This show is like a Star Wars animated version of Firefly.

I want a Star Wars movie like this made by Joss Whedon

Since Leia and Ezra are about the same age in this, I wonder what happens to Ezra? Wouldn't it be [frick]ing badass if he shows up in Episode 8 or him and Kanan in Rogue one? That'd be awesome.

@kakinurmawth

Yeah, that would be pretty awesome. The voice actors even look a lot like their characters.

@kakinurmawth I think we already saw one of them at the beginning of TFA as Max Van Sydow's Lor San Tekka. This may further connect it
