STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Actress Daisy Ridley Covers Vogue; Teases Rey's Arc In The Movie

The new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer raised a lot of questions for fans - particularly when it comes to the saga's new lead character, Rey.

Of course, this means actress Daisy Ridley is probably going to be hounded with questions in the buildup to the film's release, but if her latest interview with Vogue is any indication, the 25-year-old Londoner will have no problem keeping her secrets.

One thing Daisy will touch on is her character's continuing journey, and how her arc in The Last Jedi differs to when we first met the somewhat naive young scavenger in The Force Awakens:

[Daisy] lets on that we’ll find out more about what has happened to her family, and says it goes from being a physical journey with a friend (Finn, played by John Boyega) to an emotional journey with a stranger (Luke Skywalker, whom she meets on top of a mountainous island at the end of The Force Awakens). “More of a conversation, as opposed to a big adventure,” she suggests. As for the ongoing appeal of Star Wars, she’s not entirely sure where the magic lies—except, she says, that “it’s essentially a family drama that’s played out in this big, expansive world.”

You can checkout the candid interview in full HERE, along with the rest of the photos from Daisy's shoot with the magazine.

@jst5 - Yeah, even JJ himself admitted that while filming Force Awakens. He called her performance "wooden".

I'd say Finn was an adventure with a stranger too. She's right about the appeal being a family drama against a huge backdrop. That's kind of why Rogue One felt like something was missing, couldn't get so invested in the people.
