I didn't see much of the first season, got bored with it @ ED!

But I'll give the second season a shot coz I do like STARGATE!

Admittedly the show got off to a bumpy start, but I'm telling you, it gets better and better as the first season goes on. It's really so different from the other Stargate shows and I think that's why I'm enjoying it so much. It's the kind of show that Star Trek: Voyager SHOULD have been, but wasn't.

i dunno how i feel about this. I mean I just recently jumped on BSG and it blew my damn mind!!! So seeing this is a coin toss because I'm going to make comparisons.

I hated the other Stargates but I do hear this is a bit different.

Kevin, BSG is to Stargate as TDK is to Elektra!

SGU might get it this season but to get 10 season like SG-1 or even 5 like Alantis. I don't think so. SGU is 90210 meets X-files come on. Me I'm a Jack, Sam, Tealc and Daniel fan. If they would have kept the show scifi instead this real world bull it would be good. No ties to Stargate at all just some crappy rocks a crappy ship. The best tie in with Sam lasted uh 5 minutes.

SGU has a lot of character development. That is what the first season was mainly about. Developing the crew so you know their history why they are doing this and what their motives are. The show does get a tad bit boring sometimes but season 2 should have more things going on since most of the character development has been completed and now can focus more on the stories.

The only thing that I can think of whenever I see this damn show is Star Gate: Voyager! Especially now with the Maquis... uhm, Lucian Alliance joining the ship. Oh, and they also need to fire the lighting department from BSG and turn on a few of the light switches. Vin Diesel's Pitch Black had more lights on than this show.
