The Herald Sun is reporting Jay Baruchel spilled the beans that Teresa Palmer is joining the cast of George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road.

Baruchel told reporters interviewing him for DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon that Palmer, his co-star in The Sorcerer's Apprentice, will join Tom Hardy in the film.

"She gets to work with him, and she's (going to be) doing 'Mad Max 4' with Miller," Baruchel said, adding, "She's the main chick in 'Fury Road'. She's going to be there for over a year. It's really, really cool."

The "main chick" was believed to be Charlize Theron, who was confirmed to be starring in October. We're not sure if Baruchel was mistaken. It's possible that Theron is still the female lead and that Palmer will co-star.

Miller previously cast Palmer in the Justice League of America movie that was scrapped.

@ Bleed: Yeah I think you should, but be forewarned: it's dated and it's very very Australian.

@ Strangemann: Aww come on man. he's an old man. It's time for some new blood. As long as he has the leather outfit, the guns, the gear, the awesome car and that dead cold stare, I'll be ok with it. Skip Gibson anyway. I'm done with that guy.

I LOOOOVE Mad Max. Mad Max was one of my childhood heroes and Road Warrior was my favorite movie as a kid. As a kid I dreamed of dressing like him and getting that car but of course I never did either lol

@ Strangeman: lol Mad Sam.
Naw for real I do get it. Your a loyalist with an appreciation for Mel. I get that

But still.. that was cool Mel. Cool Mel is long gone replaced by whatever he is now.

But anyway the way I see it, the world of MM is so much more than just an actor. It's a style all it's own. It's a system of ideas and common notions I love. He's the perfect anti hero. He lives a life of extreme violence and privation, but because he's had his heart ripped out he doesn't mind much. But unlike the other rats and roaches running around trying to stay alive in "the desert of the real" he's got more in mind that mere survival. his "warrior soul" dictates that his war against the dregs of the ruins of humanity must go on and it's never clear whose a bad guy and whose a good guy.
THAT is Mad Max with or without Mel

I love Post apacolyptic movies. The Road Warrior is my favorite of all of them so far. Proves Sh** got so bad even dog food started tasting good. Of course I'm still waiting for my favorite game Fallout to be made into a live action movie. Now that would be Badass.
