James Marsden (Cyclops from the X-Men films) will play Richard White (expected to be the son of Perry White and rival to Clark Kent for Lois Lane's affections) in the Superman movie.

Additionally, Hugh Laurie (Fox TV's House -- also produced by Singer) will play the elder White, editor in chief of the Daily Planet.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the casting but couldn't get Warner Bros. to confirm that the roles are that of father and son, although that seems likely.

Brandon Routh will play Superman/Clark Kent, Kevin Spacey is Luthor and Kate Bosworth is in talks to be Lois Lane.
