SUPERMAN Trailer Outpaces FANTASTIC FOUR'S Trailer In Just 2 Days

With many of the writers on here and across social media, many assumed that Marvel's Fantastic Four would garner more attention than James Gunn's Superman, but that isn't the case!

James Gunn’s Superman trailer is off to a soaring start — and it's already leaving the competition in the dust.

Superman has garnered 19,737,712 views over the past 2 days while Fantastic Four: First Steps has achieved 19,451,669 views in 29 days. A whole 300,000 views less. Which is crazy since many on here thought Fantastic Four would be acquire more views and popularity than the reboot of Superman. Unfortunately, for them, it doesn't look like it's the case.

Superman, from James Gunn, will release just 2 weeks before Fantastic Four from a director I can't remember the name of. Perhaps I do remember the name but I don't want to say it, I just want to post extra words because this article need 400 words. Why?.I'm not sure. So yeah, Superman is closing in on 20 million views (most likely will hit that number by the time I find enough things to write about) and Fantastic Four halters at 19.45 million. That isn't too bad of a number though!

Superman is a movie, directed is James Gunn, and the new Superman is David Corenswet. What an unbelivably sounding British name. Haven't heard something so British since Benedict Cumberbatch.

The snyopsis are as follows, written solely by me who has watched the trailers of both movies about 500 times each.

SUPERMAN stops a war happening in the Middle East. This causes much drama from the US as they wanted a reason to go to war with another country. Superman has to team up with Ellen DeGeneres as Green Lantern and Hawkgirl to take down Lex Luthor and his minions. Superman also aligns himself with Krypto, a very good dog who is strong as hell.

FANTASTIC FOUR: First Steps. A silver woman comes to Earth to tell Joel from Last of Us that this huge Skyscraper dude is about to hit the world. Which I'm not sure why they didn't just him coming in the first place. His head is probably the same size as Boeing 747 from that angle. Anyway, they also must team together to stop this dude from messing up a retro 60s city. Invisible Woman is also pregnant. So baby F4!

And now for the real snyopsis of Superman and Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Superman embarks on a journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.

Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing face their most daunting challenge yet as they defend Earth from Galactus and Silver Surfer.

@TheHummus - nah see Monty Python was funny. This article was simply true.

@TheHummus - I had it say “Do not read” after the pictures because I just randomly filled it up with words to get over the 600 word mark. But they edited and removed the warning so now it looks ridiculous.

Superman is a global icon. Not really surprising.

the fúcks the point of this? Are we going back to flame wars? This is like his third or fourth article mentioning Superman outpacing the Fantastic Four. Why do y’all care so much about the numbers? I will never understand it. Does that impact y’all’s enjoyment? This site gets weirder by the day.

@MyCoolYoung - Because this site is full of biased individuals who claim to be unbiased. Yet when something comes out they admire or desire they will resort to competition and insults and attacks to promote the product they like. It's weird.

@SonOfAGif - Very weird and very true. I thought we were on a comic book movie site where people hoped to enjoy comic book media.

Then you got a bunch of nerds talking about how it's done. The article said nothing I didn't read in the comments from the superman trailer ten times over, but also a bunch of weird remarks about the word count. I'm guessing that's acceptable.

@MyCoolYoung - I think that the behavior and ways of thinking amongst people changed drastically post pandemic. People are more combative then before and it's also like everything needs factions. From cars to influencers to anything. People are for or against something and those against something feel superior and want it to fail. I mean look at the state of the US right now. It's so sad.

@SonOfAGif - don’t remind me. Life doesn’t even feel real right now. These threads do mirror real life right now and it sucks. This is supposed to be an escape amongst people who love the media but now it feels like 85% is actively working against it
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 5/17/2025, 3:29 PM
@MyCoolYoung - Because the vocal minority who hate everything want to be the majority in everything so they have hijacked and contaminated every source of conversation. Even the comments on products include political talking points so people can push their agenda.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 5/17/2025, 5:01 PM
@SonOfAGif - man I’m not going to lie, and you can correct me if I’m wrong, but that vocal minority have become a majority. When it comes to actually discussing comic book media, I find myself talking to the same 3-4 people. Over half the comments are either negative or political. I try to just ignore it but it’s harder to just get to the bottom of a thread just to comment
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 5/17/2025, 6:34 PM
@MyCoolYoung - I think it's because more people have become emboldened to spew their hate and they're applauded for it. Being a bully is the "in" thing for society. And when someone stands up to a bully, they get jumped by negativity. Eventually the scales will balance again.

MyCoolYoung - 5/17/2025, 7:34 PM
@SonOfAGif - hopefully, if not it’s ok. These people are only empowered online. Most of them wouldn’t even come to my neighborhood let alone talk crazy in public. I truly believe that

This really goes to show just how much money WB has been leaving on the table with these terrible DCEU movies.

For some reason my post suspiciously didn’t go through. I’ll just leave it at this:

This is how it’s done. My thanks to Rock for this article, the best I’ve ever read on here.

Because the new Superman movie looks awesome and the Fantastic Four film is very disappointing outside of Galactus.

Another shitty article from another shitty editor.

Well I'll give this guy some credit for being honest.

Anywho, Superman seems to be crushing it and all signs point to it being a mega hit!

I see this only as a positive.

If Gunn's DCU gets a solid start and it's critically successful, it will only make Marvel/Disney step up their game even more, which hopefully continues to improve their quality...and the fans overall win.. this is healthy competition.
