Might the great mumbly, bald action star get the role of Superman's nemesis Lex Luthor in the upcoming movie?

Superman producer Neil Moritz (The Fast and the Furious, XXX) may re-team with Vin Diesel to give him the role of Luthor in the planned movie, according to an inside Warner Bros. source.

The part has been linked to Kevin Spacey and Johnny Depp in the past but this indicates the studio may be gearing the movie to younger, 20-something and below audiences, according to CHUD.

Also, McG apparently has beaten out Michael Bay as director and the studio is still considering Smallville star Tom Welling for the part even though there may be some audience confusion resulting from him being with a different Luthor, a different Ma and Pa Kent, etc.
