Alright, that was probably the best Jodie episode so far. However, if it was with any other Doctor it would've just been a meh-whatever episode. The surrounding stuff being so decent only serves to exacerbate the mainstay problems such as the companions being such nothing-people and every big final moment of the Doctor defeating the villain always, without fail, managing to be anti-climactic.

Jodie had a bit of edge to her this episode — like 9 and 10. I also liked the way the villain is outsmarted. It wasn't super clever and having something to do with their character but it had all been set up and made sense. Just like with The Master, this episode just had me fantasising about how cool it would be for someone like Nikola Tesla to be a companion rather than it just being random dickheads from Sheffield, for instance.

The episode was slow, simple, and boring a lot of the time but at the beginning I said "if this episode is bad, I'm just not watching next week's." Thankfully, I can report that I'll be tuning in again next Sunday.

@LEEE777 - I appreciate you posting about Doctor Who every week so there's a place to vent about the most recent episode but why do you always post the trailer for the episode that just aired rather than the new trailer for the one that's coming next week?

Further proof that chibnalls team does a lot better with historical stories. This is one of their stronger episodes. By most seasons standards, unfortunately, this would of been considered a middling episode though.

Still easily the best of this season and an enjoyable episode and a much needed step up from the abysmal last episode.
