Whether you liked Wonder Woman or not, one could agree that the film was everything DC asked for. The superhero adaptation was critically lauded due to its steller direction and talented cast, with a tone of optimism that every DCEU film is planned to conform to.
Chris Pine, who came aboard the project strictly due to the opportunity to work with director Patty Jenkins, is teaming up with the her once again. This time, the pair is tackling a limited event series on TNT. Titled I Am The Night, the program is inspired by true events, revolving around a Hollywood scandal and tension-filled murder mystery. Consisting of six episodes, the series will debut January of 2019, only 10 months before Pine and Jenkins hit the big screen once again with Wonder Woman 1984.
With the trailer, TNT is definitely trying to develop more FX/HBO limited series-type fare, recruiting top-tier talent to gain viewers' attention. Due to the visuals and production value showcased throughout the promo, in addition to the pairing they attracted for the program, it is no doubt that this series will be making waves once Emmy season arrives.
