"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns for a dynamic, action-packed second half of season two, TUESDAY, MARCH 3 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

After discovering an alien city with ties to his resurrection, Coulson and his team destroyed it before the forces of Hydra could claim its secrets, eliminating the villainous Whitehall (Reed Diamond) in the process. But new threats to the world have arisen, including Skye's father, Cal (Kyle McLachlan), who now seeks retribution against Coulson for stealing his revenge against Whitehall; a disturbing alliance between former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Ward (Brett Dalton) and Agent 33; the enigmatic Raina (Ruth Negga), who struggles with her transformation into something inhuman by the alien Obelisk and seeks vengeance; and Skye (Chloe Bennet), who developed mysterious new powers from the Obelisk but whose lack of experience with her new abilities may threaten the safety of those she loves.

Meanwhile, Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) and Mack (Henry Simmons) begin the next phase of a plan which seems to have grave repercussions for Coulson and his team, who are unaware that there's another mysterious force moving against them. And as Hunter (Nick Blood) is forced to make the biggest choice of his life, Coulson will find his mission threatened by this shocking endgame.

In the midseason premiere, "Epidemic," Coulson's team must deal with the consequences of their war with Hydra as shocking revelations threaten to tear them apart, and Hydra makes a dangerous move that may involve a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s midst.

Man, the last half of the season is gonna have a LOT going on: Ward and Agent 33, Inhuman Raina, Inhuman Skye/Daisy, HYDRA, Cal, and whatever secret Mockingbird and Mack are hiding. That's a lot of plot threads to juggle, but they fully have my trust after the first half of season 2. Can't wait!

Glad she's in full time.
AOS has these characters made for the show when there are actual Marvel characters from the comics they should be using. Using Mockingbird is a step in right direction.

Before people start predicting which super-villain Raina will turn into, I'm going to re-iterate: RAINA IS ALREADY A VILLAIN FROM THE COMICS.

And for those who were surprised Al Mackenzie didn't become Luke Cage, he is already a character from the comics, too (albeit of different race).

Are Bobbi and Mack skrulls? Are they spying for the US Government? Or Hydra? Or Stark Industries? Are they planning on writing a tell all book like Mack did in the comics? Please sweet jesus I am too invested in them not being evil.

This show takes a lot from, secrete warriors. Hell tws was more secrete warriors with tws tossed in than the other way around. Hyrda's deep infiltration, and 3 helicarries needing to be taken down was straight out of secrete warriors.

@everyoneelse
There is no big secrete with Mac and mockingbird. If you have been paying attention they have been foreshadowing a mutiny throughout the first half of the season. Some of the agents don't trust coulson's team because of the appearance of alien influence. They have been hinting at it all season.

@gliderman you are right! it WAS called Aftershocks? Did it change? Or is epidemic the second episode title?

Being a series regular only means that you're in 13 or more episodes (a little over half of the season). Doesnt mean you cant be killed off or leave after the season.

marvel lists the episode as Aftershocks not Epidemic...

@gliderman
Not secret war/s secrete warriors which was a nick fury team book a couple of years back. Tws is basically the same plot with different characters. That to is a good read you might want to check out.

I would totally be ok if they dropped Ward from being a regular. I like the complexity of his character. I just don't think he needs to be in every episode.
