Meet 'Werner Von Strucker' In This New AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Featurette
Tuesday night's episode of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. introduced a new Marvel Comics character: Werner von Strucker, eldest son of the deceased Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker. He's played by Unbreakable actor Spencer Clark, and you can find out more about him after the jump...
Thomas Kretschmann's Baron von Strucker may have met a fairly unremarkable end in Avengers: Age Of Ultron (something that's actually alluded to in the "Purpose in the Machine" ep of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.), but it seems his legacy will live on with his son Werner, who was introduced on Tuesday night's installment of the Marvel TV series.
In the following featurette, actor Spencer Clark talks about the character, and reveals his excitement at the prospect of joining the series.
"I'm really excited to be on the show because not only am I a fan of Marvel and the Marvel universe but I'm a fan of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It was super-exciting to come out and hang out with these guys and to get to be a part of it. I play Werner Von Strucker, obviously his father is Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker, who was a Hydra leader. Alexander and his father had a strained relationship but this is his attempt to reconcile the death of his father and sort of prove himself as an individual."
Will Von Strucker Jr. and Ward manage to make HYDRA great again? See how they get on by tuning into a brand new episode of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. next Tuesday night.
