Netflix is currently holding an event in Paris, and in attendance are the stars from some of their most popular shows. Among them of course is Daredevil star Charlie Cox, and after taking to the stage to answer questions from journalists, the actor dropped a very surprising revelation about The Defenders. According to The Independent, he announced that the team-up series which will unite Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will start shooting later this year, much sooner than thought. 

With Iron Fist expected to start shooting soon, it now seems like that that will air in early 2017, with The Defenders following possibly in the Fall (it would be nice to see that before then, but the online streaming service seem committed to only releasing two of these Marvel shows a year). Where does all of this leave season three of Daredevil though? "We don’t know if there’s going to be a season three," Cox confirmed. "I certainly don’t know." Here's hoping we hear more on that soon.

@MattBellissimo - It was for the Defenders, I'm pretty sure The Hand, Elektra, The beast and all that is for the defenders.

But yeah, the S3 will probably happens with Fisk beign back in the game.

That's awesome. So excited to see The Defenders but Netflix seriously needs to put out more than two seasons a year. The math will just never work out. We'll be stuck with either just one or two seasons of these shows or huge gaps between seasons. And that's not even to mention the Punisher and Moon Knight series most of us are dying to see.

They've got their plate full with the characters they're already working with, and God forbid the quality drops on those.

@DallasAvenger - Oh eventually they will, but you got to give these shows a chance to see how popular they are. Netflix committed to 60 episodes of 5 different shows when they first announced this, which was a HUGE deal. Let them finish this, see how popular the Defenders gets and from there on expand. I know we're all spoiled with what the movies have done but let's not rush these things. As long as these shows continue the quality, we'll get MoonKnight, Blade, Heroes for Hire, etc

@Clark4President - Maybe. When they first announced this, they had no idea how successful Daredevil would be, and that Punisher would be in season 2. I'm sure now that the Punisher was received well, Loeb and crew are thinking about it.
